Attendance
At Barnfields, we treat children's attendance within school with the utmost importance. If children are not in school, they are unable to learn and experience the valuable and exciting opportunities that are offered through our curriculum. Of course, we understand that from time to time children are too unwell to attend school. However, wherever possible your child must attend, giving them the opportunity to access the teaching and learning as well as socialise with their friends, thus helping to build the resilience needed to thrive in our ever-changing society.
We aim for all children at Barnfields to attend school for at least 96% of the year. We feel that any more time away from school than this will begin to hinder your child's education. Please see the table below, which explains the days, weeks and lessons that more than 4% of time away from school equates to.
