Welcome to Barnfields Primary School

We are very pleased to welcome our new children and parents to Barnfields Primary School. Whether you are new to the school or already have children in higher year groups, hopefully this page will provide you with the information needed to apply for our school. 

Applications for a Reception place in September 2025 open on the 1st November 2024 and close on the 15th January 2025.

You will need to apply for a September 2025 Reception place if your child's fifth birthday is between 1st September 2025 and 31st August 2026.

How do I apply for a Reception place?

At Barnfields Primary School, we follow Staffordshire’s School Admissions arrangements and, therefore, parents must apply directly to the County Council. The quickest and easiest way to apply for a Reception class place is to complete an online application. This link will also provide you with the most up-to-date information regarding the application process and key dates for parents and carers.

Please note: you must apply for a place, even if you have an older child already attending this school.

School Tours

We warmly invite children, parents and carers to visit Barnfields Primary School. We are holding open days in October and November. This will include a tour of the school led by Mr Ball and Mrs Darlington. Please contact the school office if you cannot make the open days, and we will kindly welcome you into school for an individual tour.
